For those of us who don't have kids, we are more concerned about making sure our guns are safe from a fire. I once knew a guy that lost all his guns in a house fire and his insurance company gave him half of what his guns were really worth. Some of the guns were given to him by his grandpa and there just isn't anything you can do about replacing something like that. The gun safes I have seen also have protection against fire.
