Returning Your Order

To minimize the chance you select the wrong product for your needs, please allow us to assist you in selecting the right product based on size, weight and overall purpose. However, if you find that the product you ordered is not what you expected -- for whatever reason -- we will gladly help you. Safe and Vault Store offers one of the best return policies in the online safe and vault business. You may return your purchase for any reason within 30 days of receipt for an exchange or refund of the purchase price. Refunds exclude shipping/handling fees and inside delivery/installation fees, and will incur a 15% restocking fee. Some products may offer free shipping and our actual shipping costs will be deducted from your refund. If we made an error in ordering, or if an item arrives damaged and it cannot be fixed with a part replacement, we will pay to return the item to us and send you a new product. If you determine that you do not want a replacement part or a new product, the item may be returned according to our General Returns Policy detailed below.

Please be mindful that once a product has shipped, the order cannot be canceled. If you refuse an order, the General Returns Policy detailed below will apply.

Item(s) may be returned within 30 days of receipt. Customized or special order items may not be returned. To return an item please see below for our General Returns Policy.

General Return Policy

  • Before sending the product back to us, please complete our Return Authorization Form. This form is e-mailed to us and, once we receive this information, we will contact you to give you a return authorization (RA) number and a return address.
  • Wrap the package carefully. All returned products must be in their original condition and packaging complete with inserts, manuals, accessories, etc; otherwise additional charges may be applied.
  • Return the product using your preferred shipping method to the address you are provided.
  • Save your return tracking number, and if possible, e-mail it to us so that we can track the return. It is important that you save the tracking number and that you insure the return package in case there are any issues during transit.
  • Please Note: Unless the return or exchange is due to an error on our part, we cannot refund shipping and handling charges. Inside Delivery and Installation charges are also non-refundable. We will issue a credit to the credit card or bank account used for the original purchase. If payment was made by a check, money order or cashiers check, we will issue a refund check and mail it to the billing address provided on the order.
  • For international shipments, we cannot refund the brokerage or duty fees.
All returned products must be in original condition and packaging; otherwise additional charges may be applied. Unfortunately, we cannot take returns of products that are custom or modified. Additionally, certain products cannot be returned because neither we nor our suppliers can take them back. How and When Refunds Are Processed

We will notify you via e-mail of your refund once we have received and processed the return item. In most cases, we will process a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase within up to 5 business days of our receiving and approving your return. If you paid directly from your credit card or bank account, it may take up to 10 additional business days for the credit to be posted. If you paid by check, money order or cashiers check, it may take additional time for receipt of a refund.

If Your Order Arrives Damaged

We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that your product is carefully packaged and transported. If the merchandise you receive is damaged, we will make every attempt to help you obtain the necessary replacements as quickly as possible at no extra cost to you. Please refer to our Shipping Policy under the headline"Inspecting Your Delivery" for more detailed information.

If your item malfunctions due to a manufacturer's defect, we can either replace the defective part, or if necessary, the entire product. We have outstanding relationships with our partner product manufacturers and we stand behind our products. If you have a concern, please contact us and we will make every effort to resolve your issue.

Cancellation of Your Order:

If for some reason you need to cancel or change your order, please contact us by click on this link: Order Cancellation Form and completing the form. Unfortunately, we cannot cancel an order once the item is shipped from our warehouse so contacting us as soon as possible is important. If we are unable to cancel the order before it is shipped, you will need to return the item according to our General Return Policy (see above for details). Custom orders cannot be canceled if manufacturing has started and you will be responsible for the entire cost of the item including shipping if applicable. Custom orders are defined as non-standard, one of a kind (color or configuration) products.
