Shipping Information

Shipping Carriers:
We partner with select commercial carriers of our choice, from factory-direct locations or distribution centers located throughout the continental United States. We work closely with our shipping partners to ensure prompt and courteous service. Our policy is to not make changes to the freight carrier of choice. Ownership (title) of the product transfers to you when you or your designated responsible party signs and accepts the delivery on the "received by" line of the freight bill. This also applies to customers picking up their product at a Freight Terminal.

• Products under 100 pounds are shipped via UPS or a similar ground shipment company. These products will be delivered to your door only (not inside your home or business).
• Products over 100 pounds are shipped by freight truck. Please note that freight truck drivers WILL NOT move the product beyond the curbside or loading dock. For customers needing inside delivery of your product, we offer an optional Inside Delivery service for an additional fee. For more information please see our Inside Delivery Information.
  

Shipping/Delivery Time Frame:

• For customers needing the quickest delivery time frame, we recommend ordering a product that shows "Usually Ships within 2 - 3 work days." Once shipped, the product may take an additional 5 - 7 work days for actual receipt of the product.
• If you select a product that has more than 2 - 3 work days shipping time, please be aware that these products usually ship anywhere between 9 - 20 work days, with an additional 5 - 7 work days in transit.
• If you see a product that you like and need it sooner than what is shown on the product page, we can often recommend a similar product that can usually be shipped within 2 - 3 work days. Shipping Restrictions:

• We do not ship to APO/FPO or PO Box addresses. At this time, shipping outside the continental United States is limited to AK, HI, PR, U.S. Virgin Islands and Canada. These destinations all require special arrangements. Please call 1-800-207-2259 to make delivery arrangements and to receive an accurate shipping quote.
  

Shipping Charges:

• Our calculated shipping charges are based on the total weight of the order and the location of the final destination. Other than a few select products, shipping charges include a "handling fee" that is included in the total price of the product.
• Shipping charges do not include inside delivery to your home or business. For customers needing inside delivery of your product, we offer this optional service for an additional fee. For more information please see Inside Delivery.
• The delivery truck driver is responsible for unloading your product at the curbside or in a driveway only (for residential deliveries). Commercial deliveries are made to companies with a commercial loading dock or forklift, or at the curbside if a loading dock is not available.
• Truck lift gate usage is included in the delivered price for all home deliveries (and businesses without a commercial loading dock). NOTE: Select Schwab and FireKing products do NOT include a lift gate fee of $85.00 and $85.00 for Residential Delivery. This is added to your total delivered price at checkout. 
• Most residential or commercial addresses are accessible by a large truck (tractor-trailer), but locations that are not accessible, or that require extra handling, may be subject to additional charges. You are responsible for these charges. Examples include: downtown locations where a reasonably close loading zone is unavailable, narrow lanes, alleys or bridges, islands or locations requiring ferry boat transportation, toll-bridges, gated communities restricting trucks, unpaved roads and remote rural locations. Commercial receiving docks shall be elevated at least 4 feet from the ground and allow easy backing and offloading of a tractor-trailer truck. 
• If in doubt, call us and we will check with the delivery company prior to quoting any extra delivery charges. We will obtain your approval for additional charges, if applicable.
• We reserve the right to decline orders for which we determine delivery to be impractical.  

Shipping To Multiple Addresses
Each order is processed independently so you will need to complete the shipping address section on each individual order. We want to save you time, so to make this easier, we recommend that you add multiple addresses to your customer profile.

Why don't we offer free shipping on all products?

• Safe and Vault Store strives to provide the very best delivered price on our products.  We separate the product price and the shipping/handling price so you can see exactly what you are paying for. Other sites that offer "Free Shipping" or "Free Delivery" are really bundling the actual shipping and handling costs within the purchase price of the product. Smart shoppers always look at the total delivered price. Compare our total delivered price with their free shipping price and we think you will quickly see that their "Free Shipping" really isn't free.

Terminal Annex Pick Up:

• For customers wishing to pick up their product from the freight terminal (point of origin)  select Terminal Pickup at checkout. Please contact Safe and Vault Store directly to arrange your pick up at the shippers Terminal Annex. The title (ownership) transfers to you at this time and we strongly recommend prior to loading your product that you inspect the merchandise for damage (see "Inspecting Your Delivery" for more information). Please use an appropriately equipped transport vehicle and secure the merchandise for safe transportation. For Terminal Pickup call us at 1-800-207-2259 to let us know you want to pick up the safe or vault door at the shippers Terminal Annex.

Delivery:

• Includes transporting the product to your location only (either curbside or at a loading dock). If inside delivery is desired, we offer this service for an additional fee. Please see Inside Delivery.
• UPS and/or FedEx deliveries cannot be scheduled.
  
• Common carrier (tractor-trailer) truck deliveries are performed Monday through Friday and an appointment (for residential deliveries only) is usually scheduled by the freight company, but an exact time is not guaranteed. 
• For tractor-trailer deliveries, you or a person you designate must be on site to inspect and sign a delivery receipt. Missed delivery appointments may result in redelivery charges to you. Drivers WILL NOT move the safe beyond curbside or loading dock. Please see our section on Inside Delivery if you would like assistance with moving your product inside your home or business.
  
• Every effort is made to deliver a product within the specified delivery time frame; however, delivery dates may change due to circumstances beyond our control such as inclement weather, mechanical breakdown, etc.

Please be aware that you must be present to receive the product. Please see our section on "What to do When Your Product Arrives" for more detailed information.

Free Shipping (on select products):

• A few of our manufacturers ship some of their products directly from the factory and price their product including freight. For these products, a lift gate service charge is not included in the price of freight and if needed (for all residential deliveries and some commercial deliveries without a loading dock) a lift gate fee will be added at the time of checkout. Also, a residential delivery fee (residential zone deliveries only) will be added.
• Commercial loading docks must be at least 4 feet from the ground which allows for easy backing and offloading of a semi truck with 28-foot trailer. If no receiving dock is available and the receiving area lies within a commercial or industrial zoned area, then only the lift gate fee will be charged during checkout. This will be shown to you at checkout on Fire King and Schwab products with FREE SHIPPING.
