The Model 2087DF can be used to protect paper documents from water damage and fire damage.  Ideal applications would be in any environment where water is of concern.  Some uses could be on a boat, RV or ocean front property.  Plus with the added U.L Listed 1-hour Fire rating you can be assured that paper documents will be protected.  The First Alert  Model 2087DF uses a unique method of fire protection.  Instead of creating a "steam moisture cloud" inside of the safe to maintain a temperature below 350 degrees, this safe slowly burns off the outside protective fire material.  This is a new technology in safe fire protection.
