Returning Your Order

To minimize the chance you select the wrong product for your needs, please allow us to assist you in selecting the right product based on size, weight and overall purpose. However, if you find that the product you ordered is not what you expected we will gladly help you. Safe and Vault Store offers one of the best return policies in the online safe and vault business. You may return your purchase within 30 days of receipt for an exchange or refund of the purchase price. If we made an error in ordering, or if an item arrives damaged and it cannot be fixed with a part replacement, we will pay to return the item to us and send you a new product. If you determine that you do not want a replacement part or a new product, the item may be returned according to our General Returns Policy detailed below.

  • In most cases, we will issue a refund (less any applicable freight, restocking, or other charges) in the same form of payment originally used to purchase the product. Please allow up to ten (10) business days for your refund to be posted. If you paid by check, it will take longer to be refunded.

Unopened Box (Original Packaging)

Please allow up to ten (10) business days for your refund to be posted. If you paid by check, it will take longer to be refunded. 
  • Full product value refund.
  • Less 20% manufacturers restocking fee.
  • Less shipping and handling fees (both ways).
  • Any promotional or free products will need to be returned, or at your request we may bill you for the value of the product plus shipping & handling.
  • Products that offer free shipping; the actual shipping costs will be deducted from your refund.

Opened Box

  • Restocking fees, delivery and return shipping fees applied. (If delivered product is incorrect as a result of our error, we will exchange for the correct product or issue a full refund.)
  • Required to complete Returns Authorization form.

Damaged Product

  • Must notify the delivery company at the time of delivery. Please refer to our Shipping Policy under the headline "Inspecting Your Delivery" for more detailed information.
  • Exchange for new product or full refund.
  • Any promotional or “free” products will need to be returned, or at your request we may bill you for the value of the product plus shipping & handling.

Custom Products OR Non-Stock Items

  • We do not accept returns for custom made or Non-Stock Items. NON-STOCK ITEMS: defined as merchandise that we do not maintain in our inventory nor store in our warehouse. We order these items directly from the manufacturer on an "as-needed" basis. Custom and special order merchandise also fall into this definition. Following 24 hours (not including weekends or holidays) of date of order these items may not be canceled or returned. If cancelled after 1 business day after the order date, a 20% restocking charge may apply.
  • Not returnable.
  • Any promotional or “free” products will need to be returned, or at your request we may bill you for the value of the product plus shipping & handling. 

*All requests for refunds, cancellations and exchanges must be made within 30 days of the date the product shipped. Custom products or non-stock items must be cancelled within 1 business day of order date. If cancelled 1 business day after the order date, a 20% restocking charge may apply.

If for some reason you need to cancel or change your order, please contact us by clicking on this linkOrder Cancellation Form and completing the form. Unfortunately, we cannot cancel an order once the item is shipped from our warehouse so contacting us as soon as possible is important. If we are unable to cancel the order before it is shipped, you will need to return the item according to our General Return Policy (see above for details). Custom orders cannot be canceled if manufacturing has started and you will be responsible for the entire cost of the item including shipping if applicable. Custom orders are defined as non-standard, one of a kind (color or configuration) products.
