Wall Safes are designed to provide hidden protection for documents and miscellaneous valuables. We recommend them for "short term" storage of valuable items. They are designed for easy installation between 16 o/c wall studs with pre-drilled anchor holes. Most have a built-in flange eliminating re-plastering. One of the most confusing areas is the depth. When determining which one to purchase, make sure you check the depth behind your wall to make sure you have either a 2" x 4" or a 2" x 6" wall. If you would like to eliminate the confusion, we have some adjustable wall safes that will adjust the depth depending on the thickness of your wall.

Some people like to leave their wall safe exposed and others like the ability to hide them with a covering such as a picture, painting or mirror. The purpose is to not draw attention because when a thief spots a safe, they automatically assume there are valuables inside and will attempt to break in. They are easily mountable and will fit in between most common building walls. Either way, you are gaining free storage space and don't have to worry about the bulkiness of a free standing safe. An In-wall safe is meant for storage of a variety of items. Looking to store your pistol in a hidden area? We have some that are nothing but glorified pistol boxes with a flange on them. Now you can have a quick easy access to your handguns and pistols securely fastened right in your wall. Each one has its own qualities and disabilities. Some are not fire resistant which means you will have to choose which is more important to you, protecting your valuables against a fire or theft. If you have a large "dead space" behind your wall such as in a closet, American Security and Gardall offer a fireproof safe that has a fire rating of one hour. These safes are much more secure and offer a larger storage capacity as well as a fire rating. You will need to have plenty of depth behind your wall to install this safe. With a safe like this you can have the best of both worlds. They come with many different types of locks. Some come standard with a key lock or a dial combination lock, others have digital electronic locks that offer easy and quick access to your contents. Most digital locks offer a key override or an external battery pack to replace the batteries in case they die. If you are looking for a safe with a degree of anonymity, perfect for concealing your valuables and cash, then these safes are the right choice for you.
