Do you have a large amount of rifles/long guns but do not want to spend a fortune on a gun safe? The Mesa MGL36E might just be the right safe for you. This safe can hold 36 long guns (18 with scopes) and still have room for your important papers, documents, jewelry and valuables. This safe is made with all steel construction (no plastic). The door and body are both 12 gauge steel and there are six (6) 3/4" diameter chrome plated steel bolts along with heavy duty steel hinges to prevent pry attacks. Both the lock and the handle are protected by an additional layer of 1/8" steel to prevent drill attacks on the lock and door.
The fire rating on the Mesa MGL36E features a 30 minute fire rating tested at 1200 degrees F. There is also a heat activated seal around the door and this safe also passed a factory 2 story impact test.
There are two shelving options on this model MGL36E. One is the universal gun racking with 2 half shelves and 1 full shelf. These are all adjustable. The other option is for non gun owners who want a large safe to protect their items and paper documents. This features an "all shelf option" with 4 adjustable shelves on the inside. All the shelves, walls and door panel are all fully upholstered in fabric.
There are also two lock options on the MGL36E Mesa Gun & Rifle Safe. The standard is a digital electronic lock featuring a multiple invalid code defense feature. This feature keeps the burglar from "guessing" your combination by trying random numbers. Another great feature is the override key system which allows you to still get access to your safes contents if the lock fails or you forget your combination. This saves you the expense of a locksmith or safe technician having to drill the safe open. The other lock is an additional lock option which is a UL listed Group II dial combination lock. Both locks can be selected for the same price.
