The Challenger W1 In-Room Wall Safe is designed to fit between studs without compromising security or convenience. With compact exterior dimensions of 15.25" H x 14.38" W x 6.00" D, this safe is perfect for hotels, cruise cabins, or home offices. Despite its size, it features a heavy-duty motorized locking system with twin steel bolts, an ADA-approved keypad with a large LED display, and the option for guests to use a magnetic stripe card (on the DCT model) for quick access, eliminating the need to remember a PIN code. 

Engineered for both user-friendliness and security, the Challenger W1 offers an optional Computerized Emergency Unit (CEU) that acts as a password-protected electronic override, a data retrieval tool for up to 200 audit entries, and an emergency power source. If the batteries fail or access issues arise, the safe can still be opened using a high-security mechanical override key, which also logs the event in the audit trail. Additional features such as automatic shutdown after four incorrect attempts, programmable delay before opening, and PIN confirmation settings make this a safe, secure, and customizable solution for any environment.

• Fits in wall 4" (3.5" space + .5" sheetrock)
• Protrudes 2" but a 2.25" frame tapers from the front of the safe to the wall
• Interior Carpet: Carpet attached to the safe with Velcro. Easily removed and replaced for cleaning purposes.
• Motorized Locking: The high-quality electric motor locks and unlocks the safe with smooth, quiet operation, utilizing twin steel bolts.
• Computerized Emergency Unit (CEU) has multiple functions:
  • Acts as a password-protected electronic override key.
  • Downloads and uploads the audit trail of the last 200 openings and closings on a safe.
  • Serves as an emergency power supply in the event the batteries fail.
• Emergency Manual Key Override: A high-security key is provided to mechanically override the safe if the electronics on the safe do not respond to the CEU. This event is coded on the audit trail.
• Laptop Computer Sizes: Accommodates laptop computers.
• ADA-Approved Keypad: The American Disabilities Act (ADA)- approved keypad is made of high-quality, molded plastic, anchored with metal posts and screws. Gold-covered contacts extend the keypad's life. The large 6-digit alphanumeric LED display makes it easy to read.
• Magnetic Card Swipe (DCT model only): This feature on the keypad enables the guest to open and close the safe using any credit card or magnetic stripe card, eliminating the need to remember a PIN code.
• Automatic Shutdown: This is a security feature of the safe, which allows it to shut down after four (4) invalid PIN code entries or four (4) swipes of an invalid magnetic card. The safe can be programmed to shut down for a choice of 15 or 30 minutes. After this time expires, four additional attempts at entering the correct PIN or card can be made. The CEU will override the shutdown mode by entering the proper PIN code or swiping the magnetic stripe card.
• Durable Finish: All Challenger Safes are manufactured with Ferro Coatings, an extremely durable baked-on powder coat finish that resists scratching, chipping, and impacts up to 65 pounds per square inch.
• Audit Trail of Last 100 Openings: (Print or save as a file on your computer). This feature reduces the hotel's liability and can help disprove false rumors of theft by hotel staff.
• Non-Volatile Memory: The safe does not lose its programming or audit trail when the batteries die or are being changed.
• Pedestals: There are triangular, cylindrical, and U-shaped pedestal options.

Installation Options:

• Mounting Plate - Mount the safe anywhere, such as the floor, table, shelf, or armoire.
• The safe is very easy to maintain; everything is solid state.
• There are only three replaceable parts: the keypad, the circuit board, and the locking mechanism.
• We include two additional ones of each, so if there is a problem, the safe can be operational again in minutes. 
• If any parts need to be replaced, new ones will be sent upon receipt of the defective part.

Programming:

• Operated by Digital Keypad and Magnetic Card swipe reader.
• Personal Identification Number (PIN) Code: Program a 3-, 4-, 5-, or 6-digit PIN code in your safe.
• PIN Code Display: See the PIN code on the LED screen as it is entered on the keypad, or choose to deactivate the display of the PIN code as it is entered.
• Hold Function: This function controls the time a safe remains idle after four incorrect attempts at the PIN code or four invalid cards have been swiped through the card reader. It can be programmed for no time delay, 15, or 30 minutes.
• Date and Time: This is critical in regards to an accurate and dependable audit trail on the safe.
• Electronic Delay Before Opening: This feature can be programmed to delay the opening for 0 to 24 minutes after the proper PIN code has been entered or the magnetic strip card has been swiped.
• PIN Code Confirmation: The PIN code entered to lock the safe will appear on the LED display for three seconds after the safe door is locked. This feature is recommended so the guest can see and confirm the PIN code they used to lock the safe. This feature can also be deactivated so the PIN code is not displayed after the safe is locked.
• Programmable options for opening and closing the safe:
  • Master PIN code or MASTER Credit Card to close and open the safe door. This feature is not recommended for the guestroom. It may be used for office or home use for convenience. This feature is NOT a master override code to open any safe on the property.
  • To lock the door, the user enters their PIN code, presses the Lock (#) button, or slides their credit card instead. A new PIN code can be entered, or a new Credit Card can be swiped each time the door is opened (this method is most suitable for guestroom use).
  • To lock the door, the user enters their PIN code, presses the Lock (#) button twice, and slides the master credit card. Both systems combine to ensure maximum security. A new combination code/card cannot be entered unless the activator switch is reset. (most suitable for private use)
• View Last 12 Openings: Ability to view the last 12 openings on the LED display of the safe.
