The CS-24E carries Hollon's 24-gun Comfort Fit capacity rating. In practice, the number of rifles you'll actually fit depends on how many of yours have scopes, thick stocks, or other accessories mounted, so treat 24 as the target. The interior is 11.70 cubic feet, roughly double the room of the CS-12E, lined with a deluxe charcoal grey foam-backed liner, with adjustable and removable shelves, removable gun racks, and a heavy canvas pocket door organizer for handguns, magazines, and documents.
The body is 12-gauge steel, with 1.5" chrome steel locking bolts that wrap all four sides of the door: top, bottom, hinge side, and opening side. The full-wrap pattern makes the door harder to pry open. The lock mechanism sits behind a drill-resistant hard plate that protects against drill attacks on the lock itself. The door swings on heavy-duty vault-style hinges that open a full 180 degrees, making it easier to fully access the back of the safe than with a standard 90-degree door.
The 75-minute fire rating at 1400°F means the safe's interior stays below 350°F for at least 75 minutes in a 1400-degree fire. Inside the door, an LED motion sensor light kit turns on automatically when you open the safe, so you can see what you're doing without flipping a switch or dragging a flashlight in. The steel is pre-drilled for power pass-through, allowing you to run a dehumidifier rod or other power cable from inside the safe to an external outlet without compromising the door seal.
On the outside, the CS-24E is 59 inches tall, 30 inches wide, and 21 inches deep. At 30 inches wide, it's too wide for most standard bedroom closets, so plan for placement along a bedroom or basement wall, in a walk-in closet with full-depth clearance, in an office, or in a garage corner.
