The Patented Pending Hayman MM-4814 Minuteman Quick Access Gun Safe Scratch & Dent uses a UL listed top-lit electronic lock (or the optional biometric lock) to open the door. The door hinges from the bottom presenting your guns to you. There is no need to reach into a gun safe and fumble around to get a loaded long gun or handgun. Just pick up the gun you want and it's ready to deploy, muzzle down for safety.

The Hayman MM-4814 Minuteman Quick Access Gun Safe Scratch & Dent doesn't just provide the quick access you need. It also provides security. The recessed door has interlocking ears along both edges fully locking the door and sides of the safe together preventing forcible entry. A solid deadbolt automatically extends as the door closes, locking the safe. You can even mount this safe in between the studs into a wall for hidden installation. 

Another great feature of the Hayman MM-4814 Minuteman Quick Access Gun Safe Scratch & Dent is the motion-activated interior light. This means when the door opens, the light turns on illuminating your weapons so that you don't need to turn a light on. The keypad is also backlit as well.

Safes under 150 lbs ship via UPS or FedEx Ground, no appointment needed. Safes weighing 150 lbs or more ship via freight (LTL); the freight carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment once the safe reaches your local terminal.

Can you deliver it inside my house and bolt it down?

We don't provide inside delivery directly, but we work with third-party installers across the country who do. Here's how it works: call us at 800-207-2259 for a recommendation in your area, and we'll provide the names and phone numbers of installers we've worked with. You contact the installer directly to arrange pricing for delivery and installation. Once you've agreed on a price, place your order with us using the installer's address as the shipping destination. Will this fit through my doorway?

Check the product's exterior dimensions (listed above) against your narrowest passage, interior doorways, stair landings, and tight turns. Most people remove the safe from the pallet before moving it indoors, so the safe's actual dimensions are what matter for doorways. Can I change the combination myself?

Electronic locks: yes; it takes about 30 seconds. Instructions are included with your safe. Mechanical dial locks: no, changing a dial combination requires a licensed safe technician. Important: attempting to change a dial combination yourself (or having an unlicensed locksmith do it) voids the lock warranty. A licensed safe tech maintains the warranty. What if it arrives damaged?

Call us immediately — while you have 24 hours to report damage, calling right away gets the claim filed faster. Take photos of the damage and packaging before moving anything. For minor cosmetic damage, we typically send touch-up paint plus a partial refund. For significant damage, we send replacement parts or arrange a full replacement. Order Protection (optional at checkout) speeds refund payouts to 48–72 hours vs. 30–60 days through standard freight claims; replacement safes ship on the manufacturer's normal timeline regardless. Please read all information on the type of delivery options you have for your order. The delivery of large safes is a very sensitive operation, and we supply this information to ensure you receive the product you ordered in the best condition possible for your delivery circumstance.

Small Package Delivery (150 lbs. and Under)

Small package delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. All packages under 150 pounds are delivered to your home or business front door via UPS or FedEx during normal business hours. There is no advance appointment call made. No signature is required.

Changing Your Address

Additional fees may apply if you need to change your address after your order has shipped. Please note that changing the address with FedEx is not guaranteed. You can create a FedEx Delivery Manager account, which allows you to change the shipping method to a FedEx Hold Location (ex: local Walgreens).

Curbside Delivery (Over 150 lbs.)

Curbside delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. Any shipments 151 pounds or larger shipments are delivered curbside via freight companies such as YRC, XPO, USF Reddaway, or other common freight carriers. The safes and vault doors are delivered on a wood pallet, curbside, where your driveway meets the street. The freight company will call to schedule an appointment within an 8-hour window.   • Freight companies will not deliver to a "dead end" street or Cul De Sac. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.
  • Remote areas require additional fees from the freight company. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.
  • “Limited access” locations will require additional fees from the Freight Company. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.
  • Some zip codes, including ferry points, are considered beyond service points from the servicing center and may result in additional charges. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.

  2. After your item has shipped and arrived at your local terminal, the freight company will call you to schedule the delivery date. 
  3. The freight company will schedule a delivery appointment with you for the day of delivery only.
  4. Freight companies will deliver between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only.Because Mondays are heavy commercial delivery days, some terminals will avoid scheduling residential deliveries on Mondays. If you require a shorter time window, please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic delivery options (2-hour window available).
  5. You must be present or have someone inspect and sign for the product. There are no exceptions to this requirement.
  6. If the packaging is damaged even slightly, note the damage on the receipt you receive and sign from the delivery staff. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the only way to file a damage claim for a refund from the freight company and/or a replacement if your safe or vault door is damaged.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The delivery staff will not take your safe or vault door any further than curbside if this is the service you order. Freight companies will not deliver to your driveway on a dead-end road or Cul de Sac. They will only deliver to County, City, or State roads. They will not deliver to a congested downtown area without parking or a Doorman Condo or Apartment. Garage Delivery Requirements:

Please read these requirements before placing your order:

  • Access to an ‘overhead’ garage door is required and must be over pavement or concrete, no more than a 2% grade.
  • Excessively steep or long driveways are not included in this service; if this is your case, see Inside Delivery delivery options.
  • Drivers will not back the truck onto your driveway.
  • The driver may require help to push the product into your garage.
  • The driver will not remove the safe from the pallet.

Garage delivery is not guaranteed. It is not always available in all areas and is ultimately at the driver's discretion to complete. If the driver feels unsafe, the freight company will not be able to complete the garage delivery and will leave the safe at your curbside. We will refund you in full for the garage delivery if it cannot be completed. Safes Over 2000 lbs.

Our trucks with liftgates can only handle safes up to 2000 pounds. Safes over 2000 pounds require a forklift or loading dock on site to receive them. If you do not have either of these items, we can recommend a company in your local area that can deliver your safe inside.
