These feature a 14-gauge carbon steel body and 12-gauge door with a durable powder-coat finish to prevent corrosion. The security cable has been left behind in favor of a more permanent solution: pre-drilled anchor holes for securing to a nightstand or in the closet with the included hardware. It could be an excellent second line of defense if placed inside your primary gun safe. It's powered by four AAA batteries (not included) that last over a year under normal use, with a USB port for continuous power or backup access if the batteries die. Anti-pry bars, dual anti-impact latches, and an Impact Detection alarm add extra layers of protection.

Reliable 5-Point Entry System

There are multiple methods of user verification and entry with these safes, ensuring reliable and quick access. All models include Vaultek's Smart Sense auto-illuminating backlit keypad and mechanical override keys for emergencies. The Bluetooth MX2i adds a high-resolution biometric scanner (up to 20 fingerprints), and the WiFi NMX2i steps up to an oversized biometric scanner (up to 80 fingerprints) plus the included Nano Key 3.0 for remote opening via the Vaultek app on Android or iOS.

Even if you were to lose the mechanical override keys and your batteries died, you could use the USB port to power your lock and regain access.

Modular Interior Fit for You

Using one of many entry systems, the door will automatically spring open, and the interior LED illuminates your belongings for stress-free use even in the dark. Each of the MX models comes standard with a single Twin-Pistol Rack capable of holding 2 full-frame handguns in an upright position, so emergency access is convenient and ergonomic.

There are two expansion slots to be used for additional Twin-Pistol Racks, Single Pistol Racks, Magazine Racks, or left open for ammo and accessory storage.

Every MX Series model comes standard with a height-adjustable pull-out shelf. Use it for manuals, shooting logs, tax stamps, and carry permits, or for storage of more handguns, accessories, and ammo.

Additional shelves and modular racks are available separately to reconfigure the interior if the lower pistol racks are removed.

Smart Features Keep You Connected

Most functions can be accessed through the backlit keypad with status readouts displayed on the built-in LCD screen. The Bluetooth MX2i and WiFi NMX2i connect to the Vaultek app for added management features not accessible through the keypad, so you can check history logs showing when your safe has been accessed or tampered with.

The WiFi NMX2i uses Vaultek's ViSN (Vaultek Intelligent Safe Network) platform for real-time monitoring with live alerts for tampering, impacts, and battery status delivered right to your phone.
