This safe utilizes a top-mounted drop door and a composite lining similar to those in UL-rated burglar and fire-resistant safes. This tough burglary-resistant drop safe sets itself apart with walls over 2.50 inches thick and a door nearly 5.00 inches thick. Its durable Gardall Gray textured finish is sure to withstand the abuse of the daily grind in commercial applications. Weighing over 500 pounds, it provides substantial security and for added peace of mind, it includes a pre-drilled anchor hole for securing it to the floor. We will even include the required anchor bolt. No burglar will carry this safe away!
This safe is based on Gardall's very popular 171718-2 model which is a certified UL RSC burglary resistant safe with a 2-hour UL Class 350 fire rating. Features such as composite lining in the body and door as well as a multi-step door design and advanced door-to-body seal gives the contents of this drop safe the best possible chance in the event of a fire.
The door on this depository safe features the same composite lining found in the body as well as an additional steel hard-plate and independent re-locking device to thwart drill attacks. The door features a multi-step design which aids in protecting the contents from damage in the event of a fire and makes pry attacks difficult. The opening side of the door is secured with five 1" diameter solid steel rotating bolts, three on the side and one on both the top and bottom. These rotating bolts act as a line of defense against burglars who may attempt cutting them with a flexible blade. The hinged side of the door is secured with 2 additional 1" diameter steel dead bolts. An ultra reliable UL listed Type 1 digital lock means you get quick access throughout the day and reliability long into the future.
The drop design on this safe is intended to provide the best protection possible. This safe utilizes thicker steel than competing safes and the entire drop door is encased in a heavy duty steel housing. They won't gain access to the safes contents without cutting through the entirety of the safes body or door, or cutting through the extra thick steel of the drop door or it's housing. Every second counts when you're subjected to a serious break-in attempt.

Types of Delivery Services (click the links below to skip to each section):
Small Package Delivery (150 lbs. and Under)
Small package delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. All packages under 150 pounds are delivered to your home or business front door via UPS or FedEx during normal business hours. There is no advance appointment call made. No signature is required.
Changing Your Address
Additional fees may apply if you need to change your address after your order has shipped. Please note that changing the address with FedEx is not guaranteed. You can create a FedEx Delivery Manager account, which allows you to change the shipping method to a FedEx Hold Location (ex: local Walgreens).
Curbside Delivery (Over 150 lbs.)
Curbside delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. Any shipments 151 pounds or larger shipments are delivered curbside via freight companies such as YRC, XPO, USF Reddaway, or other common freight carriers. The safes and vault doors are delivered on a wood pallet, curbside, where your driveway meets the street. The freight company will call to schedule an appointment within an 8-hour window. IMPORTANT NOTE: The delivery staff will not take your safe or vault door any further than curbside if this is the service you order. Freight companies will not deliver to your driveway on a dead-end road or Cul de Sac. They will only deliver to County, City, or State roads. They will not deliver to a congested downtown area without parking or a Doorman Condo or Apartment. Garage/Threshold Delivery or White Glove Inside Delivery are available for an extra charge if you need special delivery services. Garage delivery is not guaranteed. It is not always available in all areas and is ultimately at the driver's discretion to complete. If the driver feels unsafe, the freight company will not be able to complete the garage delivery and will leave the safe at your curbside. We will refund you in full for the garage delivery if it cannot be completed. If you want to order garage delivery and are concerned that you might not meet the requirements, please call us at 800-207-2259 so we can determine the best option.
Safes Over 2000 lbs.
Our trucks with liftgates can only handle safes up to 2000 pounds. Safes over 2000 pounds require a forklift or loading dock on site to receive them. If you do not have either of these items, we can recommend a company in your local area that can deliver your safe inside.
Inside Delivery
Safe & Vault Store offers inside delivery options depending on the weight of the safe, whether there are stairs, and whether you require bolting the safe down. Please call us at 800-207-2259, and we can help you determine the best inside delivery option for you.
