When the silica gel visible through the inspection window changes from blue to pink, it's time to reactivate the unit.
Place the canister in a 300°F oven for approximately 3 hours, or until the silica gel returns to its original blue color. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely before handling. Once cooled, store the cainster in a sealed container until you're ready to put it back into service.
Good to know:
During initial use, the canister may reach saturation more quickly as it pulls moisture from the space. After that, initial moisture is reduced, and reactivation is typically needed less often to maintain a dry environment.
