Every Champion safe and vault door is built with 100% American-made, ASTM-certified high-strength steel, a material distinction that matters more than it might initially seem. American 12-gauge steel is significantly stronger and more durable than the 14-gauge Chinese steel found in most imported gun safes, and Champion uses it across its entire product line regardless of price point. The result is a safe that is heavier, more rigid, and harder to defeat than most products in its class.

What sets Champion apart technically is its door construction. While most competitors build doors with a single bent piece of steel filled with sheetrock or partial inner steel, Champion uses a Double-Steel Door Casement with multiple full layers of steel, giving their doors a rigidity that prying attacks simply cannot overcome. Four-way active boltworks engage on all sides of the door on every model, and all Champion safes exceed the UL Residential Security Container (RSC) standard. Fire protection is equally serious. Champion safes are tested at ASME-certified facilities with models rated from 1200 degrees F to 1865 degrees F, depending on the series.
