Match fire rating to your home's risk. A 40-minute Revere is sufficient for most suburban homes with fast fire response. A 60-minute We The People makes more sense for rural addresses or document protection. The 75-minute 1776 series is the right call if fire protection is your primary concern.
Lock type changes day-to-day use. Liberty's EMP-resistant electronic lock is faster to open and lets you change the combination yourself, with the EMP rating adding electromagnetic-pulse hardening for long-term reliability. The mechanical combination dial doesn't rely on batteries and has the familiar feel a lot of long-time gun owners grew up with. Both are standard at no extra cost on the We The People, 1776, and Revere lines.
Plan the delivery path before you order. The 30-gun safes fit through a standard 32-inch interior doorway when turned. The 44, 50, 60, and 64-gun safes are wider and need to be turned on their narrower depth (typically 22 inches) to clear a standard doorway. What does "Solid State® locking bar" mean?
Liberty's Solid State® bars are 1/4-inch thick flat locking bars (rather than the round pins used on most gun safes). Liberty's published testing shows the flat-bar geometry resists prying forces significantly better than equivalent round-pin designs. Every Liberty gun safe in our lineup uses Solid State® bars.
Does Liberty offer biometric locks on gun safes?
Liberty's biometric lock option is only available on their HDV handgun vaults (the HDV-B150X, HDV-250X, HDV-300X, HDV-350X, and HDV-500X). On the full-size gun safes (Revere, We The People, 1776 series), Liberty offers two standard lock options at no extra cost: an EMP-resistant electronic keypad or a mechanical combination dial. Biometric is not available on the full-size gun safes.
