The AMSEC AM4020E5 Home Security Safe features a fire rating of 45 minutes, which means it will withstand an exterior heat temperature of 1200 for 45 minutes without the interior temperature exceeding 350 degrees F. This is not bad for a home safe in this price range. The exterior paint is the traditional Amsec deep blue textured finish and a raised American Security logo in black nickel hardware on the door. The three interior shelves are made of gray fabric, adding function and beauty to the interior. We have also included a gray fabric interior, including the back cover that adds to the beauty.
Along with the blue textured finish, the AMSEC Model AM4020E5 home security safe has external hinges that provide complete access to the interior and allow the door to be opened a full 180 degrees. There is an "L" shaped handle on the door. These features compliment any trophy room or den, providing a handsome look.
For security, the Amsec AM4020E5 home security safe includes a 12 gauge solid steel shell with a 1-1/8" door that is recessed. The door thickness includes 1/4" solid steel with the balance of fire insulating material. Also featured are five active 1-1/4" bolts in a three-way configuration along with the ESL5 electronic lock with an illuminated keypad standard. Four anchor holes increase the forcible entry protection when used.
