The AMSEC BF1512 Burglar Fire Safe is the most popular dual-rated safe in the country. This safe sets the standard in the industry. It shows off a door that has an overall thickness of 3 1/2" with a solid 1/2" thick steel plate included. Along with the 1/2" steel plate, AMSEC has included three large 1" diameter bolts and a full-length dead bar that fits deep into the interior to protect the contents from forcible entry. The body is made from a 1/8" steel shell and a bit more than 2.5" overall thickness. There is a composite material that provides the safe with fire resistance. The safe has a 1 hour UL fire rating.

To assure burglary protection AMSEC has included a UL Group II combination lock with a special auxiliary relocating device. There are also heavy-duty steel hinges that help protect the door from being removed, and they will last for decades. A recessed anchor bolt hole and mounting hardware allow the safe to be mounted to the floor. The safe is small and compact and can be hidden almost anywhere.

To ensure the UL Fire Rating, the AMSEC BF1512 uses a special door seal that expands when heated. This greatly reduces the chances of your contents burning up during a long and intense fire. * Intumescent Door Seal:

The root word, intumes, means to react by expansion. When the intumescent seal is exposed to high temperature (above 250 degrees F), it expands to as much as eight times its original thickness. This expanded or reactive state has a very high thermal insulating capacity and resistance to breakdown. This provides a strong positive seal between the door and the body, preventing heat influx.

BF Series Textured Pedestals

These Pedestals are designed to carry the weight of the safe so that you never have to bend over to reach the lock again. The Pedestal is 24" H. They will place the BF Series safe at a convenient height. They are six-sided construction and made of 12 gauge solid steel. This Pedestal has four anchor holes in the bottom with top access points and one floating anchor plate at the top to securely attach the BF safe. The pedestal weighs 65 pounds.
