AMSEC CSC3018 Burglar & Fire Rated Safe

When choosing a safe, the question of burglar or fire protection inevitably arises. Do you want to secure your valuables against theft, or protect sensitive documents from a fire? A burglar-proof safe offers little protection against fire, while fireproof safes are easy prey for safecrackers.

With the AMSEC CSC3018, you don't have to choose. American Security Safes combine heavy steel walls with proprietary fire resistant material to produce mid-sized safes capable of handling both frame and theft, at an attractive price.

The composite safe has a 4-5/8-inch door with two inches of inner and outer steel surrounding flame resistant material, while the body offers 2-7/8-inches of protection. The safe meets Underwriter's Laboratories' Residential Security Container rating for burglar protection.

For fire resistance, the AMSEC CSC3018 meets the two-hour factory fire rating, allowing it to protect documents from external temperatures of 1,700 degrees Fahrenheit while maintaining an internal temperature of 350 degrees F (well below the 405 degree F threshold where paper begins to char). In the event of a fire, an intumescent door seal expands to protect documents.

Locking Mechanisms

Safe & Vault Store offers the AMSEC CSC3018 with a single user digital lock. The locking mechanism includes solid steel deadbolts that lock deep into the safe body in the event of tampering, preventing door removal. We recommend that you use the included mounting hardware and internal anchor hole to secure the safe to the floor, for extra security.

Customizable Shelving

Three powder-coated, adjustable shelves are included. In addition, users have the option of purchasing a fourth shelf or customized drawer safe cabinets, to help organize valuables.
