Staff and administrators of hospitals, pharmacies and heath care facilities are concerned about the security, storage and administration of narcotic medications. There is an increasing threat of robbery, burglary or internal theft each day. Drugs are increasing in value on the street and narcotic related crimes are at an all time high. AMSEC has a solution with their line of Pharmacy Safes. The AMSEC PSSW-28 is a large pharmacy safe, perfect to store large amount of narcotic/prescription drugs. The 5 adjustable shelves inside along with the optional drawers make organization simple.

The AMSEC PSSW-28 features a SafeWizard, AMSEC's audit trail lock. The outer door features a SafeWizard display window, allowing the doors to be opening during business hours. You can program up to 40 unique combinations into this lock, giving your employees their own personal pin code. You can audit up to 10,000 entries, giving you all the information you need to see who was getting in the safe and at what times. You can also use other features such as the programmable 1 to 99 minute time delay and even setup predetermined user authority levels. Nobody will be able to just "guess" a combination with the wrong try count penalty lockout.

The two outer doors on the AMSEC PSSW-28 pharmacy safe are secured by the SafeWizard lock which is an access control system attached to your safe. Safes weighing 150 lbs or more ship via freight (LTL); the freight carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment once the safe reaches your local terminal.

Can you deliver it inside my house and bolt it down?

We don't provide inside delivery directly, but we work with third-party installers across the country who do. Here's how it works: call us at 800-207-2259 for a recommendation in your area, and we'll provide the names and phone numbers of installers we've worked with. You contact the installer directly to arrange pricing for delivery and installation. Once you've agreed on a price, place your order with us using the installer's address as the shipping destination. Will this fit through my doorway?

Check the product's exterior dimensions (listed above) against your narrowest passage, interior doorways, stair landings, and tight turns. Most people remove the safe from the pallet before moving it indoors, so the safe's actual dimensions are what matter for doorways. Can I change the combination myself?

Electronic locks: yes; it takes about 30 seconds. Instructions are included with your safe. Mechanical dial locks: no, changing a dial combination requires a licensed safe technician. Important: attempting to change a dial combination yourself (or having an unlicensed locksmith do it) voids the lock warranty. A licensed safe tech maintains the warranty. What if it arrives damaged?

Call us immediately — while you have 24 hours to report damage, calling right away gets the claim filed faster. Take photos of the damage and packaging before moving anything. For minor cosmetic damage, we typically send touch-up paint plus a partial refund. For significant damage, we send replacement parts or arrange a full replacement. Order Protection (optional at checkout) speeds refund payouts to 48–72 hours vs. 30–60 days through standard freight claims; replacement safes ship on the manufacturer's normal timeline regardless. Can I place my order by phone?

You have two options: we can take the full order by phone (we pause the call recording before you read your card number, so payment info is never stored), or we can build your order and email you a payable invoice link so you can enter your own payment details securely.

Small Package Delivery (150 lbs. and Under)

Small package delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. All packages under 150 pounds are delivered to your home or business front door via UPS or FedEx during normal business hours. There is no advance appointment call made. No signature is required.

Changing Your Address

Additional fees may apply if you need to change your address after your order has shipped. Please note that changing the address with FedEx is not guaranteed. You can create a FedEx Delivery Manager account, which allows you to change the shipping method to a FedEx Hold Location (ex: local Walgreens).

Curbside Delivery (Over 150 lbs.)

Curbside delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. Any shipments 151 pounds or larger shipments are delivered curbside via freight companies such as YRC, XPO, USF Reddaway, or other common freight carriers. The safes and vault doors are delivered on a wood pallet, curbside, where your driveway meets the street. The freight company will call to schedule an appointment within an 8-hour window. Freight companies will not deliver to a "dead end" street or Cul De Sac. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.
Remote areas require additional fees from the freight company. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.

Depending on the indicated lead time on your order, you will receive an email notifying you that your item has shipped with your tracking number.
After your item has shipped and arrived at your local terminal, the freight company will call you to schedule the delivery date.
The freight company will schedule a delivery appointment with you for the day of delivery only.
Freight companies will deliver between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only.Because Mondays are heavy commercial delivery days, some terminals will avoid scheduling residential deliveries on Mondays. If you require a shorter time window, please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic delivery options (2-hour window available).
You must be present or have someone inspect and sign for the product. There are no exceptions to this requirement.
If the packaging is damaged even slightly, note the damage on the receipt you receive and sign from the delivery staff. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the only way to file a damage claim for a refund from the freight company and/or a replacement if your safe or vault door is damaged.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The delivery staff will not take your safe or vault door any further than curbside if this is the service you order. Freight companies will not deliver to your driveway on a dead-end road or Cul de Sac. They will only deliver to County, City, or State roads. They will not deliver to a congested downtown area without parking or a Doorman Condo or Apartment. Garage/Threshold Delivery or White Glove Inside Delivery are available for an extra charge if you need special delivery services. Garage Delivery Requirements:

Please read these requirements before placing your order:

Access to an ‘overhead’ garage door is required and must be over pavement or concrete, no more than a 2% grade.
Excessively steep or long driveways are not included in this service; if this is your case, see Inside Delivery delivery options.
Drivers will not back the truck onto your driveway.
The driver may require help to push the product into your garage.
The driver will not remove the safe from the pallet.

Garage delivery is not guaranteed. It is not always available in all areas and is ultimately at the driver's discretion to complete. If the driver feels unsafe, the freight company will not be able to complete the garage delivery and will leave the safe at your curbside. We will refund you in full for the garage delivery if it cannot be completed. Our trucks with liftgates can only handle safes up to 2000 pounds. Safes over 2000 pounds require a forklift or loading dock on site to receive them. If you do not have either of these items, we can recommend a company in your local area that can deliver your safe inside.
