The Contacta IL-AE97 is an above-the-counter hearing loop aerial for one-to-one service points, combining the hearing loop wire and the ADA T-coil signage into a single 8-inch square panel that mounts on the counter or on a wall behind it. The aerial transmits the audio signal from a Contacta hearing loop driver as a magnetic field, and any customer with a hearing aid or cochlear implant switched to the T-coil (telecoil) position picks up the audio directly in their device, cutting out ambient noise and letting them hear the staff side clearly through the barrier. The IL-AE97 covers a magnetic field strength distance of approximately 2.62 feet, which is the working distance from the sign to the customer's ear for reliable pickup.
The panel does two jobs at once: it is the visible ADA-compliant Telecoil "T" mode sign that instructs customers to switch their device, and it is the hearing loop aerial itself. Combining the two into one piece keeps the counter clean and eliminates the guesswork of where to place a separate aerial relative to a separate sign. The IL-AE97 offers two positioning options to suit different counter layouts: it can be mounted vertically to a wall or barrier, or attached to a stand for countertop placement in front of the customer.
The IL-AE97 is designed to work with Contacta's hearing loop drivers, including the STS-A31H window intercom amplifier's built-in hearing loop drive, and connects to the driver via the included 6.56-foot cable. It is well suited to bank teller windows, healthcare reception, pharmacies, supermarket customer service desks, information centers, library circulation counters, airport check-in and information counters, embassy and government facility reception, and any other above-the-counter service point where one-to-one communication needs to be accessible to customers with hearing loss.
If you're not sure whether the IL-AE97 above-the-counter aerial is the right choice for your installation (as opposed to the IL-AE98 window-mounted aerial or the IL-AE99 under-the-counter aerial), please call us at 800-207-2259.

Yes. Free delivery is included on every safe we sell, anywhere in the lower 48 states. The specific delivery method depends on the safe's weight: small package delivery for under 150 lbs, curbside, or garage delivery for heavier safes. See full shipping details →
Shipping timelines vary by product. Check the availability status at the top of this page for the estimated ship date. Once shipped, transit time typically runs 5–10 business days, depending on your location. You'll receive tracking when the safe leaves the warehouse. Safes under 150 lbs ship via UPS or FedEx Ground, no appointment needed. Safes weighing 150 lbs or more ship via freight (LTL); the freight carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment once the safe reaches your local terminal.
We don't provide inside delivery directly, but we work with third-party installers across the country who do. Here's how it works: call us at 800-207-2259 for a recommendation in your area, and we'll provide the names and phone numbers of installers we've worked with. You contact the installer directly to arrange pricing for delivery and installation. Once you've agreed on a price, place your order with us using the installer's address as the shipping destination. The installer receives the safe, inspects it, and schedules your final delivery appointment. Some installers prefer to pick the safe up directly from the freight terminal. Check the product's exterior dimensions (listed above) against your narrowest passage, interior doorways, stair landings, and tight turns. Most people remove the safe from the pallet before moving it indoors, so the safe's actual dimensions are what matter for doorways. Standard interior doorways (30–32" clear) accommodate most residential safes, but measure before ordering. Call us if you're uncertain. See where to locate your safe →
Electronic locks: yes; it takes about 30 seconds. Instructions are included with your safe. Mechanical dial locks: no, changing a dial combination requires a licensed safe technician. Important: attempting to change a dial combination yourself (or having an unlicensed locksmith do it) voids the lock warranty. A licensed safe tech maintains the warranty. See lock operating instructions →
Note: Some mechanical pushbutton locks (like Simplex) can be changed by the user without a technician. Check your specific lock's instructions.
Call us immediately — while you have 24 hours to report damage, calling right away gets the claim filed faster. Take photos of the damage and packaging before moving anything. For minor cosmetic damage, we typically send touch-up paint plus a partial refund. For significant damage, we send replacement parts or arrange a full replacement. Order Protection (optional at checkout) speeds refund payouts to 48–72 hours vs. 30–60 days through standard freight claims; replacement safes ship on the manufacturer's normal timeline regardless. See receiving your safe →
We offer a 30-day return policy on unused, in-original-condition products. The return freight for a heavy safe is substantial, so we strongly encourage you to call us before ordering if you're unsure about fit or configuration. See full return policy →
