The Hollon FD-3020E is the large-capacity B-rated commercial depository safe in Hollon's front-load electronic-lock line, sized for retail chains, restaurants, bars, dispensaries, and small-business cash-handling operations that need to secure multiple registers' worth of close-outs, several days of accumulated deposits between armored car pickups, or larger daily cash drops. Staff drops cash, checks, or deposit bags through the front-load slot with an anti-fish baffle in a few seconds, and the deposit falls into a 3.51-cubic-foot main compartment that is inaccessible until an authorized user opens the main door with the electronic keypad.
The FD-3020E ships with a UL Listed Type 1 Sargent & Greenleaf electronic lock, which is the commercial-grade electronic lock standard. UL Type 1 is the UL 768 rating classification for commercial electronic safe locks and sets minimum requirements for pick resistance, manipulation resistance, and endurance. The keypad lets managers open the safe with a code in a few seconds rather than spinning a dial, which matters when the safe is being opened multiple times per shift for armored car pickups, bank deposits, or end-of-shift close-outs. Codes can be changed in the field as managers rotate out, so a departing manager doesn't walk out knowing the current combination the way they would with a mechanical dial.
Under the hood, the FD-3020E uses a ½-inch solid steel door with five 1¼-inch solid steel active locking bolts and a drill- and ballistic-resistant hard plate, meaning the plate is rated to survive both a rotary drill attack and a ballistic (impact or blast) attack against the lock. An internal spring-loaded re-locking device provides a secondary line of defense that automatically engages if the primary lock is punched or drilled out, keeping the boltwork locked even after the lock body is defeated. A heavy-duty dead bar prevents door removal during a forced entry attempt. Four pre-drilled anchor holes let you bolt the safe to a concrete floor or a steel base plate, and at 200 pounds, the FD-3020E is heavier than the 2714 series but still movable by two people during setup, so use the anchor holes and bolt it down once it's in position.
Inside, the FD-3020E provides 3.51 cubic feet of usable space (19 by 18 by 17.75 inches) and ships with one removable shelf. The shelf is designed so staff can store empty cash tills on the bottom of the compartment and drop deposit bags onto the shelf above during the shift, keeping new deposits off the tills so a manager pulling tills in the morning to set up registers doesn't have to lift bags out of the way first. The exterior is 30 by 20 by 20 inches, compact enough to fit under most back-office counters or against a wall in a small manager's office.
If 3.51 cubic feet is more than you need, Hollon publishes the smaller FD-2714E at 1.55 cubic feet with the same electronic-keypad workflow. If you'd prefer a mechanical dial lock with no batteries and no electronic components, the same 3020-size safe is available as the FD-3020C.
If you have questions about the FD-3020E, how it compares to the smaller FD-2714 siblings or the dial-lock FD-3020C, or how to anchor it into a retail counter or back office, please call us at 800-207-2259.

Yes. Free delivery is included on every safe we sell, anywhere in the lower 48 states. The specific delivery method depends on the safe's weight: small package delivery for under 150 lbs, curbside, or garage delivery for heavier safes. See full shipping details →
Shipping timelines vary by product. Check the availability status at the top of this page for the estimated ship date. Once shipped, transit time typically runs 5–10 business days, depending on your location. You'll receive tracking when the safe leaves the warehouse. Safes under 150 lbs ship via UPS or FedEx Ground, no appointment needed. Safes weighing 150 lbs or more ship via freight (LTL); the freight carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment once the safe reaches your local terminal.
We don't provide inside delivery directly, but we work with third-party installers across the country who do. Here's how it works: call us at 800-207-2259 for a recommendation in your area, and we'll provide the names and phone numbers of installers we've worked with. You contact the installer directly to arrange pricing for delivery and installation. Once you've agreed on a price, place your order with us using the installer's address as the shipping destination. The installer receives the safe, inspects it, and schedules your final delivery appointment. Some installers prefer to pick the safe up directly from the freight terminal. Check the product's exterior dimensions (listed above) against your narrowest passage, interior doorways, stair landings, and tight turns. Most people remove the safe from the pallet before moving it indoors, so the safe's actual dimensions are what matter for doorways. Standard interior doorways (30–32" clear) accommodate most residential safes, but measure before ordering. Call us if you're uncertain. See where to locate your safe →
Electronic locks: yes; it takes about 30 seconds. Instructions are included with your safe. Mechanical dial locks: no, changing a dial combination requires a licensed safe technician. Important: attempting to change a dial combination yourself (or having an unlicensed locksmith do it) voids the lock warranty. A licensed safe tech maintains the warranty. See lock operating instructions →
Note: Some mechanical pushbutton locks (like Simplex) can be changed by the user without a technician. Check your specific lock's instructions.
Call us immediately — while you have 24 hours to report damage, calling right away gets the claim filed faster. Take photos of the damage and packaging before moving anything. For minor cosmetic damage, we typically send touch-up paint plus a partial refund. For significant damage, we send replacement parts or arrange a full replacement. Order Protection (optional at checkout) speeds refund payouts to 48–72 hours vs. 30–60 days through standard freight claims; replacement safes ship on the manufacturer's normal timeline regardless. See receiving your safe →
We offer a 30-day return policy on unused, in-original-condition products. The return freight for a heavy safe is substantial, so we strongly encourage you to call us before ordering if you're unsure about fit or configuration. See full return policy →
