The Stealth WSHD1414 Heavy Duty Wall Safe is considered B-Rated for burglary protection. It is due to the 1/2" solid steel plate door plus the three 1" solid steel locking bolts. The body is made of 12 gauge steel. Once it is installed in the wall, the only thing exposed is the door. The hinges are secured with a full-length steel deadbar that will keep the door locked even if the hinges are cut. This makes this safe pry-resistant and difficult to break into. Of course, the burglar has to find it first.
The door on the Stealth WSHD1414 Heavy Duty Wall Safe is secured with a high-quality UL Approved NL UR-2020 High Security Digital Electronic Lock. It also has a bold chrome handle for opening and closing the door. This lock is also protected by a 1/4" Thick Rockwell hardplate and a relocker that keeps the bolts locked if someone attempts a punch or drill attack.
Once you enter your combination, just turn the handle and the door easily opens on the ball bearing hinges. You can feel how heavy this 1/2" door is when you open and close it. There is quite a bit of room inside for valuables and other items. One adjustable or removable shelf is included to help with the organization of your items. Both the shelf and the bottom of the safe are carpeted to keep your valuables from being scratched.
