Vaultek has released the ALL NEW version of the Lifepod 2.0 - The Vaultek Biometric Lifepod 2.0. This takes all the great features of the current version and adds biometric capability to quickly open with the swipe of your fingerprint. The full-size capability allows you to store a full size handgun up to 9.25" long. A removable interior tray also allows for stackable storage. The included interior LED light allows you to see your items in the dark.

The Vaultek Biometric Lifepod 2.0 unlocks with a quick scan of your finger. A total of 20 fingerprints can be stored with the weatherproof high-definition biometric scanner. The Lifepod 2.0 can also be locked and unlocked using the touch-sensitive LED keypad. The manual keys can also be used to unlock if the battery dies. The manual keyway can be disabled to prevent lock picking.

Inside the Vaultek Biometric Lifepod 2.0 are two layers of storage. The removable interior tray provides an extra layer of storage and features additional slots for attaching your personal belongings and EDC gear. Weighing only 3.3 pounds, the Lightweight Biometric Lifepod 2.0 is designed to be portable. Even though it is lightweight, it is made with an advanced non-metal polymer construction. Each unit has been drop tested to be the ultimate rugged lockbox.

Q: Is the Vaultek Biometric Lifepod 2.0 water-resistant?

A: Yes. The Lifepod 2.0 features side compression latches and an inner rubber gasket to seal off the interior from environmental factors. It can be submerged in up to 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes. It is also airtight, dustproof, and can even float.

Vaultek has designed the Biometric Lifepod 2.0 to run on a single 9V battery (not included). The battery can last up to one year under normal use. If you don't have a battery, it can still be used as a water-resistant case. The front rubber keyhole cover disguises a hidden micro-USB port to power the unit in case of a dead battery.

Safes under 150 lbs ship via UPS or FedEx Ground, no appointment needed. Safes weighing 150 lbs or more ship via freight (LTL); the freight carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment once the safe reaches your local terminal.

Can you deliver it inside my house and bolt it down?

We don't provide inside delivery directly, but we work with third-party installers across the country who do. Here's how it works: call us at 800-207-2259 for a recommendation in your area, and we'll provide the names and phone numbers of installers we've worked with. You contact the installer directly to arrange pricing for delivery and installation. Once you've agreed on a price, place your order with us using the installer's address as the shipping destination. Will this fit through my doorway?

Check the product's exterior dimensions (listed above) against your narrowest passage, interior doorways, stair landings, and tight turns. Most people remove the safe from the pallet before moving it indoors, so the safe's actual dimensions are what matter for doorways. Can I change the combination myself?

Electronic locks: yes; it takes about 30 seconds. Instructions are included with your safe. Mechanical dial locks: no, changing a dial combination requires a licensed safe technician. Important: attempting to change a dial combination yourself (or having an unlicensed locksmith do it) voids the lock warranty. A licensed safe tech maintains the warranty. What if it arrives damaged?

Call us immediately — while you have 24 hours to report damage, calling right away gets the claim filed faster. Take photos of the damage and packaging before moving anything. For minor cosmetic damage, we typically send touch-up paint plus a partial refund. For significant damage, we send replacement parts or arrange a full replacement. Please read all information on the type of delivery options you have for your order. The delivery of large safes is a very sensitive operation, and we supply this information to ensure you receive the product you ordered in the best condition possible for your delivery circumstance.

Small Package Delivery (150 lbs. and Under)

Small package delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. All packages under 150 pounds are delivered to your home or business front door via UPS or FedEx during normal business hours. There is no advance appointment call made. No signature is required.

Changing Your Address

Additional fees may apply if you need to change your address after your order has shipped. Please note that changing the address with FedEx is not guaranteed. You can create a FedEx Delivery Manager account, which allows you to change the shipping method to a FedEx Hold Location (ex: local Walgreens).

Curbside Delivery (Over 150 lbs.)

Curbside delivery is a free service offered by Safe & Vault Store. Any shipments 151 pounds or larger shipments are delivered curbside via freight companies such as YRC, XPO, USF Reddaway, or other common freight carriers. The safes and vault doors are delivered on a wood pallet, curbside, where your driveway meets the street. The freight company will call to schedule an appointment within an 8-hour window. Freight companies will not deliver to a "dead end" street or Cul De Sac. Please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic for additional options.

After your item has shipped and arrived at your local terminal, the freight company will call you to schedule the delivery date.
The freight company will schedule a delivery appointment with you for the day of delivery only.
Freight companies will deliver between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday only.Because Mondays are heavy commercial delivery days, some terminals will avoid scheduling residential deliveries on Mondays. If you require a shorter time window, please see our Fedex Freight Direct Basic delivery options (2-hour window available).
You must be present or have someone inspect and sign for the product. There are no exceptions to this requirement.
If the packaging is damaged even slightly, note the damage on the receipt you receive and sign from the delivery staff. IMPORTANT NOTE: This is the only way to file a damage claim for a refund from the freight company and/or a replacement if your safe or vault door is damaged.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The delivery staff will not take your safe or vault door any further than curbside if this is the service you order. Freight companies will not deliver to your driveway on a dead-end road or Cul de Sac. They will only deliver to County, City, or State roads. They will not deliver to a congested downtown area without parking or a Doorman Condo or Apartment. Garage/Threshold Delivery or White Glove Inside Delivery are available for an extra charge if you need special delivery services. Garage Delivery Requirements:

Please read these requirements before placing your order:

Access to an ‘overhead’ garage door is required and must be over pavement or concrete, no more than a 2% grade.
Excessively steep or long driveways are not included in this service; if this is your case, see Inside Delivery delivery options.
Drivers will not back the truck onto your driveway.
The driver may require help to push the product into your garage.
The driver will not remove the safe from the pallet.

Garage delivery is not guaranteed. It is not always available in all areas and is ultimately at the driver's discretion to complete. If the driver feels unsafe, the freight company will not be able to complete the garage delivery and will leave the safe at your curbside. We will refund you in full for the garage delivery if it cannot be completed. Our trucks with liftgates can only handle safes up to 2000 pounds. Safes over 2000 pounds require a forklift or loading dock on site to receive them. If you do not have either of these items, we can recommend a company in your local area that can deliver your safe inside.
