The Browning ProSteel V30 Vanguard is a FEMA 320-rated tornado and hurricane security door that looks exactly like a standard residential interior door. Built with 12-gauge steel throughout and rated to deflect a 15-pound 12-foot 2x4 traveling at 100 MPH, it provides vault-grade storm and security protection behind a paintable 2-panel or 6-panel residential door face that blends seamlessly with the rest of your home. For homeowners who want to secure a safe room, storm shelter, or panic room without a door that looks out of place, the V30 is the right solution. Available in right-hand or left-hand in-swing configurations to fit your space.
The door is constructed from 12-gauge steel throughout, outer plate, inner full plate, and door frame, with 6 active 1" diameter locking bolts securing the door side and a Codelocks CL5210 heavy-duty electronic lock with key lock backup providing reliable, battery-powered access. Concealed hinges eliminate visible exterior hardware, and the in-swing configuration means the door can always be pulled open from inside, even if debris or structural damage blocks the exterior, the same practical advantage that makes in-swing doors the preferred choice for storm shelter and panic room applications. The door opens up to a full 180° when installed in a 4.5" thick wall.
The V30 ships in a white primer finish, ready to paint and match any décor, and includes an L-Lever handle. Installation fits a standard 80.50" H x 32.75" W rough opening, making it compatible with most existing framed spaces. Made in the USA by ProSteel.
As an authorized Browning dealer, we're here to help you plan your installation. Call us at 800-207-2259, Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM PST.

Specifications
Yes. Free delivery is included on every safe we sell, anywhere in the lower 48 states. The specific delivery method depends on the safe's weight: small package delivery for under 150 lbs, curbside, or garage delivery for heavier safes. See full shipping details →
Shipping timelines vary by product. Check the availability status at the top of this page for the estimated ship date. Once shipped, transit time typically runs 5–10 business days, depending on your location. You'll receive tracking when the safe leaves the warehouse. Safes under 150 lbs ship via UPS or FedEx Ground, no appointment needed. Safes weighing 150 lbs or more ship via freight (LTL); the freight carrier will contact you directly to schedule a delivery appointment once the safe reaches your local terminal.
We don't provide inside delivery directly, but we work with third-party installers across the country who do. Here's how it works: call us at 800-207-2259 for a recommendation in your area, and we'll provide the names and phone numbers of installers we've worked with. You contact the installer directly to arrange pricing for delivery and installation. Once you've agreed on a price, place your order with us using the installer's address as the shipping destination. The installer receives the safe, inspects it, and schedules your final delivery appointment. Some installers prefer to pick the safe up directly from the freight terminal. Check the product's exterior dimensions (listed above) against your narrowest passage, interior doorways, stair landings, and tight turns. Most people remove the safe from the pallet before moving it indoors, so the safe's actual dimensions are what matter for doorways. Standard interior doorways (30–32" clear) accommodate most residential safes, but measure before ordering. Call us if you're uncertain. See where to locate your safe →
Electronic locks: yes; it takes about 30 seconds. Instructions are included with your safe. Mechanical dial locks: no, changing a dial combination requires a licensed safe technician. Important: attempting to change a dial combination yourself (or having an unlicensed locksmith do it) voids the lock warranty. A licensed safe tech maintains the warranty. See lock operating instructions →
Call us immediately — while you have 24 hours to report damage, calling right away gets the claim filed faster. Take photos of the damage and packaging before moving anything. For minor cosmetic damage, we typically send touch-up paint plus a partial refund. For significant damage, we send replacement parts or arrange a full replacement. Order Protection (optional at checkout) speeds refund payouts to 48–72 hours vs. 30–60 days through standard freight claims; replacement safes ship on the manufacturer's normal timeline regardless. See receiving your safe →
We offer a 30-day return policy on unused, in-original-condition products. The return freight for a heavy safe is substantial, so we strongly encourage you to call us before ordering if you're unsure about fit or configuration. See full return policy →
